Actor “Khaled El Sawi” and his crew kidnapped for a 30,000LE ransom.

Director “Ahmed Abdel Hamid” and actor “Khaled el Sawi” along with the cast and crew for the series “Soliman’s Ring” were held captives, for 5 hours by some Bedouins demanding a ransom of 30,000LE to set them free. This happened at a town called “Raa” in Seedi Kerair near Alexandria, when they were shooting scenes from the series. Khaled tried to reason with the abductors but in vain. A member of the casting team mentioned to newspaper “Al Masry Al Yoom” that they were only released when the ransom was paid and the team did not file a police report.
