Satellites will go ahead with broadcasting the series “Al Hassan and Al Hussein” even with Al Azhar’s refusal.

Even with Al Azhar’s rejection to play the Syrian series “Moaweya and Al Hassan and Al Hussein” due to the fact that both grandchildren of the prophet are physically portrayed, which is considered a taboo in Islam. Yet, some channels like “Al Haya”, “Al Tahrir” and “Al Nahaar” are going to broadcast it during Ramadan. The director “Abdul Bari Abu El Kheir” had said that he would have never indulged in such a religious and sensitive issue except after consulting Major Islamic Scientists like Youssef El Karadawi.The series is a joint production between Syria. Jordan, Morocco, Lebanon and Dubai. Starring actors “Khaled El Ghouri” as Al Hassan, “Mohamed El Magali” as Al Hussein, and “Rasheed Assaf” as Moaweya Ibn Abi Sufyan.
