Producers of “Al Shahroora” denies exposing “Fayrooz “ or “Assi El Rahbani”

In an update to what our site has published recently about the series “Al Shahroora” and the disputes over airing the series, producer Sadek El Sabah surprised everyone by declaring that the series does not mention at all Fayrooz and Assi not even as aliases. It was said earlier that the series may mention the later and her husband Assi using different names, the surprise here was that the producer denied all that. Legendary Lebanese singer Fayrooz had sued the producers wanting to stop the series from playing on television under the belief that the series exposed both her life and her husband’s. The producer denies all that, and he added to “Al Tahrir” newspaper that there are no aliases and the series does not mention Fayrooz or her husband. He is not even certain about the validity of the case as he has not yet received a request to attend in any court. He also added that he has total respect to both Lebanese artists and assured everyone that his series is only a biography of the Lebanese singer and actor Sabah and no one else. The series is directed by Ahmed Shafik and script by Feda Al Shandaweeli.
