“Ahmed AL Rayan” Sues “AL Rayan”

In an interview with “Al Watan” Saudi newspaper, businessman Ahmed Al Rayan expressed his anger and dismay towards the series “Al Rayan” that portrays his biography. He added that many of the things said are not true. It portrays him as a polygamous man and his brother as a drug addict. He said he is intending to sue the producers for a refund or to stop them from playing the series. However, script writer Hazem El Hadeedy and producer Mahmoud Baraka both declared unanimously that according to the contract “Al Rayan” had signed with them, he took 400 thousand Egyptian pounds and he was not to interfere with the details of the series or object to them or read the script or file a law suit in court to stop it from playing.
