Farouk El Fishawy : The ex regime decided to take Israel’s side by not broadcasting the series “I am Jerusalem “

Actor Farouk El Fishawy stated that although the series “I am Jerusalem” has been ready to play on screen and is considered a massive production, yet the Egyptian ex regime decided not to play it and so did the other satellite channels as well, in support of Israel. This is because the series states historical facts that support that Jerusalem is Arabic handling the period from 1917 and the 50 years that followed that portraying the British occupation and the Belford treaty, and weakness of the Ottoman empire until the war in 1967 in Egypt. According to “Al Masry Al Yoom” newspaper this will not appeal much to Israel. Every detail in the series has been revised and the location which the scenes have been shot look like those in old Jerusalem during the 1920’s, especially in Syria.
