Elissa: I listen to Sherin, Anghaam and Nancy Agram, and there is no chemistry between myself and Nagwa Karam and Yara.

In an interview of Al Haya Channel on the “Super Star” program, Lebanese star Elissa stated that Lebanese star Carol Samaha did an excellent job in her role in the series “Al Shahroora” . Although she looked nothing like the legendary Sabah in her physical appearance, she believes that she worked so hard to perfect the role.Elissa added that she meets Al Shahroora in a lot of occasions and she is proud that legendary Sabah is Lebanese and was able to accomplish all this success and become one of the most important stars in the Middle East and Egypt. She also added in that same episode that she enjoys listen to the music of Sherin, Anghaam and Nancy Agram, but doesn’t find Yara’s or Nagwa Karam’s music very appealing to her, explaining that her opinion does not undermine their quality of music , rather it is only a matter of taste and chemistry between them. Elissa argued that there is no real disagreement between her and any other singer or star, she respects all her colleagues. As for her recent statements that she made about insecurity in Egypt, Elissa explained that she was present in Cairo on the 28th of January when suddenly all means of communications were cut. She was terrified, and she panicked especially that she wasn’t in her home country. She added that “I immediately left Cairo which I dearly love and went back home to Lebanon and was very sad at how the situation turned out.”
