“Ali Baba’s Cinema” is not part 2 of “No Retreat” and Amy Samir Ghanem stars opposite Mekki.

Director Ahmed El Guindy stated that he is currently working on Ahmed Mekki’s new movie “Ali Baba’s Cinema” as fast as possible for the movie to play during Eid Al Adha. They are half way through the movie already. Director denied any resemblance between this movie and Mekki’s previous movie “No Retreat No Surrender” . He added that this movie is not a part 2 for any other movie. Mekki plays the role of Hazlakoom which is an entirely different role to the one he played in his movie “No Retreat No Surrender” As for the female star in the movie this is played by Amy Samir Ghanem and not Donya Samir Ghanem, who is the usual costar with Mekki. Director Ahmed said that the preference to choose Amy and not Donya only came because the first star is more appropriate for the role.The script for the movie is written by Sherif Naguib and directed by Ahmed El Guindy, and also starring Lotfy Labib, Hisham Ismail, Mohamed Salaam and Mohamed Shaheen.
