Mekki in his new movie “Cinema Ali Baba”

The Arab Company for Production and Distribution released the promo for its new movie “Cinema Ali Baba” for Comedian Ahmed Mekki, in preparation to release the movie during Eid Al Adha.Uniquely the promo was a very new trend to the one Egyptians are used to in the Egyptian cinema. It seemed more like a “star wars” film. Mekki plays the role of “Hazlaom”, a character he played in his previous movie “No Retreat No Surrender”.Director Ahmed El Guindy clarified that the movie is not a second part of “No Retreat no surrender” because Ahmed Mekki plays 2 other characters in “Cinema Ali Baba” it just happens that he is playing the same character from his previous movie which received much applaud from the audience and fans.In the tag line of the movie in the promotion it said “this is 2 movies in one”. This kind of display that involves watching 2 movie with one entrance ticket is available in some areas in Egypt such as the Terso cinema in Bulak Abu El Ela.“Cinema Ali Baba” ‘s script is written by Sherif Naguib and directed by Ahmed El Guindy, starring Ahmed Mekki, Amy Samir Ghanem, Lotfy Labib, Hesham Ismail, Mohamed Sallam and Mohamed Shaheen.
