Upon his completion to his new movie “X Large” that will be released soon during Eid Al Adha, Egyptian star and comedian Ahmed Helmy responded to the invitation of the “Trop Fest Arabia” Festival for short films, where they requested him to be director of the festival and a member of the judging committee. The Festival for the first time is taking place in Dubai.Ahmed will leave Egypt heading to Dubai on Wednesday 2nd of November and then return on the 7th of November to monitor his movie and spend the Eid in Cairo.Helmy was initially invited to be part of the movie makers for the movie “18 Days” that was a massive success during the Abu Dhabi International Cinema Festival. However, because he was indulged in completing his own movie “X Large” he declined the invitation. He is now returning again to the same place in the same year to attend the “Trop Fest Arabia” Festival for short films.This festival is considered the biggest festival on an international scale for short films. Helmy supervises the festival and is a member of the judging committee that is directed by John Wilson. The judging committee also includes Nadine Lebky, Iyad Nassar, Mohamed Hefzy, Mamdouh Salem, Amin Dorra, Ahd Kamel and Nayla Al Khagla.
