Singer Asala announced in a press conference that she will not be releasing her new song that portrayed the revolution after spending so much time to prepare it. That is when some accused her of changing sides and supporting the Syrian regime.Star Asala Nasri refused the accusations angrily claiming that her song “O if the Chair would Rule” or “Ah law El Korsy Yohkom”, is not appropriate for the current events and does not portray her feelings about with is going on at the moment. She prefers to present something that is a true image of what is currently happening. She feels that the real problem is not in concepts such as democracy and regime tendencies, but the crucial issue here is in killing unarmed civilians. In an interview with “Al Masry Al Yoom” newspaper, Asala explains that she is standing by what she said in the past, she is against the brutal killing of civilians and her opinion won’t change about the atrocities of the Syrian regime. Currently Asala is preparing a new song for the Syrian martyrs, praying for them and telling them how they are now in a better place.
