Dubai Festival honors the legendary Gamil Rateb

The Dubai International Cinema Festival management decided to honor the grand Egyptian actor Gamil Rateb, by granting him the award that is called “Artists Achievements”. This award was granted to Omar El Sherif, the late Youssef Shaheen and Dawood Abdel Sayed.It is noteworthy that actor Gamil Rateb is considered an international celebrity after he played the role of “Maged” in the famous classic “Lawrence of Arabia”. He also left a significant print in the Tunisian media and television. In addition he also played many roles in the French theater, as well as a multiple of roles in the Egyptian cinema, television and media.
