Some of the crew working in the movie “A moment of weakness” stated reasons behind terminating the shooting of the movie was due to the events of Tahrir. However, dug deeper into this case and revealed the real reason why the filming has stopped. Director of the movie Mohamed Hamdy had explained to that the movie is going through a financial turmoil where the producing company for the movie “Rotana” had signed a contract with producer of the movie Walid Sabry stating that they will buy 3 movies for distribution outside Egypt. The movies were “X Large” for Ahmed Helmy, “Complete Female” for Ramez Galal and “A moment of weakness” for singer Mustafa Amar. However, Rotana did not stick to its end of the bargain and did not pay for any of the movies. Producer Walid Sabry wanted to stop filming all 3 movies, but it was too late for the movie “X Large” to stop since it played in Eid Al Adha, he also continued filming “Complete Female” in hope that Rotana might yet still pay its financial obligation, and when they didn’t, he had no choice but to stop filming the final movie which was “A Moment of weakness” even though he is 60% through the movie, until further notice. The movie stars Mustafa Amar whose face has not appeared in the cinema for 3 years as well as Reham Abdel Ghafour and Mohamed Lotfy. The movie portrays Mustafa Amar a GM in an advertising company who is accidentally gets involved in a conspiracy that implicates him in a murder.
