Actress Hend Sabry released a video as a form of advertisement on her website inviting audience to watch her new movie “Asmaa” that will play starting the 7th of December. Hend considers this movie a giant step in her acting career as is discusses a delicate matter, one that has long been a controversial issue in the Egyptian society; “HIV”. Hend also portrays the agony an HIV positive person has to go through and the prejudice inflicted upon him because of his disease when many times it is not even his fault. The movie is not entirely depressing, it might not be a comedy but it most certainly takes a different perspective of life. Hend also revealed how difficult it was for her to portray the character of Asmaa due to the difference in age and background which required a lot of hours spent with makeup artists. Finally the actress called on her audience to support her movie because this is the real encouragement an actor needs to present real and innovative art.“Asmaa” is written and directed by Amr Salama. It is starring Hend Sabry, Maged El Kadawani, Hani Adel, Ahmed Kamal, Sayed Ragab and Fatma Adel.
