Dubai International Film Festival gives Awards with the amount of 60 thousand dollars to encourage Arab Film distribution

Dubai International Film Festival the eighth that is under the sponsorship of Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, announced his latest initiatives in the film industry and spreading the Arab films accessing global and regional area, as planned in its eighth edition granting “awards distribution” of 60 thousand American dollars, this prize is considered from the included activities in “Dubai Film Market”, devoted to cinematic support “from script to cinema”, to Arab Film Distributors that participates in the festival.This year’s awards will be given to distributors of two Arab long films and two long documentaries, each of the Middle East and beyond, which makes it 8 awards for this year.The distributor will receive for each long movie his distribution rights in the Middle East and beyond the amount of 10 thousand dollars, while the two documentaries distributors will receive 5 thousand dollars for each.It should be noted that the festival will present 171 films from 56 countries representing local, regional and global cinema during the period from 7th to 14th of December in Emirates Mall, Jumeirah city and “The Walk” at Jumeirah Beach Residence.
