Honoring Ilham Shaheen and Karim Abdel Aziz at the 27th Festival of Arabic Theater.

The festival of Arabic theater honored both Ilham Shaheen and actor Karim Abdel Aziz, as well as Rashwan Tawfik and writer Mohamed Galal Abdel Kawi. The festival also honored the graduates of 1994 who graduated from the High Institute of Theatrical Arts.That same festival also celebrated the 100th anniversary of the late legendary Egyptian novelist Naguib Mahfouz, where a documentary about his life was displayed during the opening of the festival.The judiciary committee for the festival included director Ahmed Abdel Halim who is chairman of the committee, as well as director Ahmed Sakr and Ahmed Shafik. It also includes producer Khaled Helmy, artist Samira Mohsen, Professor Sayed El Imam and writer Mohamed El Ghaity.The opening for the festival was held at the Art Academy Theater in Haram where everyone attending stood a minute of silence to mourn the deaths of the martyrs.
