The British Academy of Film and Television Art announced its nominees for best films for the year 2011. Ruling out Martin Scorsese's "Hugo" from Best Film category, however, it gives it another nine nominations including Best Director. "The Artist" continues to collect its winnings with a massive 12 nominations including Best Film and Best Leading Actor for " Jean Dujardin" who is competing with "George Clooney" in "The Descendents", "Brad Pitt" in "Moneyball", "Michael Fassbender" in "Shame" and "Gary Oldman" in "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy".As for the nominees in Best Leading Actress, the unique "Meryl Streep" in" The Iron lady" is competing with "Michelle Williams" in "My Week With Marilyn", "Viola Davis" in "The Help", "Tilda Swinton" in "We Need To Talk About Kevin" and "Bérénice Bejo" in "The Artist".The winners in 24 categories will be announced on the coming 12 February.
