Tragic death for famous Greek film director Theo Angelopoulos

While crossing the street near the set of his latest film "The Other Sea", Greek award-winning director and world cinema respected figure was hit by a motorcycle driven by an off duty officer that couldn't avoid him. He was rushed to the hospital with serious head injuries but doctors were not able to save him.The world of cinema mourns this icon that had many accomplishments in the Greek Cinema with award winning films such as Ulysses' Gaze in 1995 and "Eternity and a Day" that won awards in Cannes a few months ago.
