Acording to the newspaper, Rosel Youssef, the Chamber of Cinema industry decided to take a legal action against Cairo governor, Abdel Kawy Khalifa for deciding to increase the fees of cinema interfaces by 300% and his refusal to back down. The decision which increases the cinema burden despite its deterioration. The producer Mohamed Hassan Ramzy ,one of the Chamber members explained that the meeting of the Chamber representatives with the governor didn't solve anything because the governor has just postponed his decision till the beginning of 2013. More over Hassan added that this action didn't satisfy the members because it only postpones the crisis for the next year without a solution. He denounced saying: "This decision is not the prerogative of the governor, but of the People's Council so we decided to take a legal action in order to revoke the resolution. Then we will demand his dismissing because he is incapable of managing properly and it is totally forbidden to take a decision of membership after the revolution".He stressed on the idea that as long as imposing taxes is reasonable and deliberate, the Chamber doesn't reject taxes or increasing it because it is the only procedure that seeks social justice. He also confirmed that the cinema loses 2 million pounds per year.
