President Barack Obama honors Al Pacino in the White House

Yesterday, Monday 13th of February, the American President Barak Obama honored the famous movie star Al Pacino in addition to 16 other artist because of their humanitarian services contributions in 2011.Obama gave the seventeen artists, the National Medal saying in a speech that they left an unforgettable mark in the history of Americans culture.Moreover he added that as long as he is president of the United States of America, Art will remain his first interests. Manytimes when people get divided, arts are only thing that assembled them.Obama spoke about Al Pacino, in particular, describing him as an actor with a significant influence in his field and that through his career, which extends for forty years he continued presenting a very important role.It is known that Al Pacino had begun his career in the early seventies. He got famous through starring film "Godfather" in 1972, before winning an Oscar for Best Actor in the film "Scent of Women" in 1992.
