The American director Paul Greengrass decided to start shooting the first scenes of his new movie "Captain Phillips" in Malta, the Indian Ocean in addition to Morocco shores.The film which is written by the script writer Billy Ray is based on a true story. It happened in 2009 when Captain Richard Phillips was taken as a hostage by one of the Somali pirates who asked the American government to pay a ransom in order to release the captain and his crew. The famous star "Tom Hanks" plays the role of the captain while the actress Catherine Keener acts as his wife.The film was postponed more than once because of "Tom Hanks" preoccupation filming" Very Well" and " Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" which was displayed in Berlins Film Festival and nominated for an Oscar Award.
