In the 37th annual Cesar Awards, also known as the French Oscars that took place in Paris on Friday 24 February, the French silent film "The Artist" walks away with 6 Awards. The film won Best French of the Year, Best Director for Michel Hazanavicius, Best Actress in a leading role for Berenice Bejo as well as Best Editing, Best Cinematography and Best Musical.With this outstanding success which was expected by many, "The Artist" is just a few steps away from winning the Oscar which is just a few days away. Another film that has continued collecting trophies is the Iranian " Nader and Simin - A Seperation" by Asghar Farhadi that won the Cesar for Best Foreign film and that is after winning the 2011 Golden Bear Award at the Berlin Film Festival. Again, this success also nominates this film to win the Oscar for Best Foreign Film and make it the first Iranian film to receive this award.
