"Hekayat Tunisia" in Luxor festival

The Tunisian movie "Hekayat Tunisia" participated yesterday in Luxor International Festival for African Cinema. The film revolves around three women each of them presents a social life differs from the other. It exposes their lives, the social problems they face and the restrictions imposed on them. The movie is considered the first directorial experience for Nada EL Mazny and starring Nadia Bousteh, Maram Ben Aziza, Ali Banoura, Tawfez El Ayeb, Hamdy Hadda and Naguib Belhassan.After wards the young directress attended the seminar which was held to discuss the movie details and to answer the journalists' questions. She expressed how happy she was for exposing her first cinematic experience in her second country, Egypt. She affirmed on the similarity between the Egyptian and the Tunisian society especially after (El Yasmin and El Nil) revolutions hoping to enforce the cinematic coordination between both countries. However she explained that while filming she used her portable camera in order to shoot some real and mixed the documentary with the dramatic style.The seminar included also the actress Maram Ben Aziza, Hamdy Hadda, Naguib Belhassan in addition to the film producer Mohamed Selim who reassured on the Tunisian and Arab cinema industry that will include the Arab spring revolutions Concepts of "freedom and democracy and respect". Talking about Islamism dominating Tunisia and imposing new restrictions on all sorts of art, he replied with confidence that he was never afraid of this matter.It was noted that the cultural Tunisian ministry refused to market the film commercially because it contains some unauthorized scenes.
