Actor Russell has signed to play the title role in Darren Aronofsky's adaptation of the Biblical epic of Noah and the ship he used to save humanity. The first candidate for this role was Christian Bill, but he had to apologize for having a busy year.Aronofsky has dreamt of this project since forever, and he is having a new vision of it far from the religious side of the epic. He always noticed how films look at the possibility of human extermination from a science fiction vision, which makes it far from happening. However, the known story of Noah and his arch made him fear from this reality which made him desire to make this film by looking at the humanitarian side of Noah and his duty of saving civilization as he knew it.Script for the film is written by John Logan and the only other actor chosen is Liam Neason which will play the role of one of the non-believers of Noah. Production is by Paramount which set an initial budget of 150 million dollars and the film is expected to be released in the last quarter of 2013.
