Hassan Youssef denies making a drama as the Pope Shenoda III

"It was a misunderstanding that caused this rumour", actor Hassan Youssef explained. He was asked in an interview if he would portray Pope Shenoda III in a series about his life, and he replied "Why not! But after an authority from the Azhar" where later a rumour spread that he was actually going to do it. Youssef assured how much he respects the Pope who managed to stop a sectarian strife before it started. He also admires how he dealt with the Nile water issue, and respects his refusal to go to Jerusalem unless the Israelis are kicked out of it. But he has no intentions in making a drama about his life. Youssef is now busy preparing for a new drama about the life of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin-the political activist- with Ibrahim Abu Zikri president of the Arab producers Union.
