"Al Shouq" snatches two awards at the MIFF.

Proving that the critics were right by considering it the best film of 2011, "Al Shouq" won Best Film and Best Actress "Sawsan Badr" at the Muscat International Film Festival. Director Khaled Al Hagar received this news with great satisfaction and called producer Mohamed Yassin and the rest of the cast to congratulate them for this winning. "Al Shouq" received the same awards at the last round of the Cairo International Film Festival and was nominated for Best Foreign Film at the Oscars. Where many believe that now the Comedy Cinema attracts all views; this film is proof that there is still a large audience in Egypt and the Arabic World for the Social Cinema.
