It was the film that was expected to bring her back to the center of attention after long years of drug addiction and rehab, but it will debut on 17 August without her. Whitney Houston finished shooting her scenes in “Sparkle” a few weeks before her death at the age of 48, and yesterday, 2 April, the trailer of her last film was released carrying the final pictures of her to be remembered. “Sparkle” which is a re-make of the 1976 musical and it’s about three girls from a successful singing group suffer from a fallout of fame to drugs. Whitney co-stars as their mother who tries to protect them from the dangers of their fame and it seemed her role was very suitable since she has gone through the same suffering in her career.
