All through last week, reports were spreading that we have seen the end of Gary Ross with "The Hunger games" Trilogy for unknown reasons despite its huge success in the box office.Hollywood Reporter reported yesterday that the dispute is mainly financial, as after achieving his biggest success to date, Gary wanted to increase his salary to 5 million dollars plus 5 % of the movie's earnings. The company was outraged by his request, as they think the movie's success wasn't due to his "directing capabilities" as much as it was to the success of the novel from which it was adapted. However, they still are trying to meet Ross halfway to bring him back, as filming for the 2nd part must start by next August and end before January 2013, as Jennifer Lawrence will then be tied to her role in X-men first class 2.Gary Ross is kind of a front runner to direct the movie as he has been personally preparing for the first 2 parts, so he already knows the ins and outs of the movie and the crew; something that would take another director longer time to adapt to.The 2nd part's title will be "Catching fire", to be released 22nd of November 2013.
