Unfortunately, the cast and crew of the new series "Al Emam Al-Ghazaly" got attacked the day before yesterday while shooting in The Valley of The Whales in Fayoum. The attackers threatened the crew and demanded to take their money, and in between pulling and pushing they managed to steal some camels that were featuring in the show and some equipment. After a short while the police force showed up "just like in the movies" and arrested the outlaws and secured a safe exit for the cast and crew. In his statement to , actor Mohamed Reyadh said that non of the crew members got hurt but they had to stop shooting and shall continue by the middle of next week. Reyadh also said that director Ibrahim Al Shawadi has finished shooting half of the series and is hoping to release in Ramadan this year."Al Emam Al-Ghazaly" is a biography written by Mohamed Al Sayed Eid about the late Emam Sheikh Abu Hamed Mohamed Bin Mohamed Al-Ghazali. Co-starring Reyadh are Ahmed Wafik, Tareq El Desouky, Ashraf Abd El Ghafour, Nermeen El Feky, Mirna Walid and Bahaa Tharwat. Too bad the cameras weren't rolling; otherwise, it would've been a live priceless video of actors getting attacked by outlaws!
