Over 120 films in Ismailia International Film Festival

Over 120 films were presented to participate in Ismailia International Film Festival starting 23rd of June which will last for 6 days.The films vary between short documentaries, long documentaries, short animated and short films. Only movies produced in 2011-2012 are allowed in the competition.Deadline for applying is 1st of May; meanwhile, Committees of viewing and selection are still working to nominate the best movies registered.Film critic Amir El Omary, Director of the festival, confirmed that the festival is still taking place as planned regardless of the instability our country is going through, assuring that cultural and artistic activities are the foundation of a stable society and a way to improve the image of the country vis-a-vis the whole world.He also added that this year’s event, the 15th annual, will witness radical changes regarding the location of the festival and accommodation for guests. New sections will also be added other than the official competition, which he is going to announce later on in a press conference.
