A 2nd part of "The Muppets" is in the works

Disney has officially announced her plans for a 2nd part of "The Muppets", the 1st part of which was released last year and achieved great success.The film is based on the popular "Muppet" character in American and British pop culture that appeared in a TV program on the 70s.The success of last year's film encouraged them to make it a series depending on characters like Miss Piggy and Kermit the frog.Jason Segel, the star from part 1, will not be appearing in the 2nd part due to his involvement in other projects.Nicola Slater has already finished writing the 2nd part, and the director of the 1st part James Bobin will be working on it as well. Filming will start in weeks and it is scheduled for release in 2013.
