Preparations for 28th annual Alexandira Mediterranean films festival are underway

Dr. Walid Seif, director of Alexandria Mediterranean Films Festival, announced that the initial screening for films committee for the 28th annual run will start working 1st of May. Many films have already been received such as "El Beet" and "Soot Aby" from Turkey, "Andrewman men dam w fahm" and "El Watar El khames" from Morocco, "El Sakhra" from Spain, "Daddy" from Croatia and finally "Ala El shatea" from France.He also mentioned that he sought the co-operation of cultural centers in Egypt to determine which films in their respective countries are worthy of participation; such as Spanish, Greek, French and Croatian centers.According to "El Badil" newspaper, the Italian star Monica Bellucci will be invited by the Italian cultural consultant to honor her and show her film "El Armala El gamila". Also, the winner of Golden bear award in Berlin Film Festival "Caesar Must Die" will be be shown in the human rights' section of the festival. Directors of the film, the Taviani brothers Vittorio and Paolo, will be in attendance.
