Ismailia Festival for documentaries and short films will honor the late interior designer Salah Maraay for his efforts in the last 50 years, who managed the festival for almost 10 consecutive years. They plan to create an exhibition in Ismaila culture palace containing all his creations during the festival time, supervised a close friend of his Ansy Abou Seif, a popular interior designer as well.President of this year's edition, Amir El-Omary, stated they will show a documentary highlighting Salah Maraay's life journey, directed by Magdy Abdel Rahman. Salah's widow and famous monteer Rahma Montasser will accept the festival's shield on his behalf.Salah Maraay passed away last year after 69 years of living a life of giving and contributing to the cinema with films like "El Momyaa", "Abnaa El samt", "El Madina", "El Saher", "Baheb El cima" and many others. El Omary considered Salah one of the most important designers in the world, and honoring him is just something that should be done.
