Today, all the eyes turn to the small city of "Cannes" in France as the popular film festival starts.The picture of Marilyn Monroe blowing the candle of her last birthday became the official poster for the festival, filling the wall of the festival's palace.The red carpet is now being rolled preparing to receive stars from all over the world in just a few hours.Gilles Jacob, president of the festival, receives the 9 man jury headed by the Italian Nani Moretti, as well as the stars of the opening film "Moonrise Kingdom" Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Bruce Willis and Tilda Swinton and its director Wes Anderson.Director Youssry Nasr Allah and stars Menna Shalaby and Bassem Samra attend the opening tonight, awaiting the screening for their film "Baad El Mawqeaa" or "After the battle".French cinema stars are also walking the red carpet such as Juliette Binoche, Berenice Bejo and Marillon Cotillard, whose film Rust and Bone participate in the festival.The festival starts today and ends the 27th of May.
