Sergio Leone's "Once upon a time in America" was screened in Cannes Festival in 1984, but not as a part of the official competition. 28 years later it returns again with its restored version with 25 additional minutes as a part of Cannes renovated classics.This 4 hour saga shows the lives of Max and Noodels over 50 years who vowed as kids to die for each other, before life forces them to really keep their promise.The film is considered by most one of the greatest of all time, especially by Martin Sorcese whose insitiution renovated the film and added 25 minutes of footage from the director's cut.Robert De Niro and Elizabeth McGovern attend the screening today with Scorsese.
