"The Counselor" has Diaz on standby if Jolie says no!

With his deadline approaching, and with Angelina Jolie's delayed reply until she checks her busy summer schedule; director Ridley Scott has nominated Cameron Diaz for the leading female role in his upcoming thriller "The Counselor"."The Counselor" is about a lawyer who finds himself dangerously involved with drug dealers after he tried to take advantage of his legal knowledge to deal with drugs himself. Jolie or Diaz will play the role of the lawyer's girlfriend "Matilka" who becomes a drug addict and the gangs try to get to him through her.The film has a dynamic cast that consists of Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz.
