Salafists stop shooting The Master.

Writer Medhat El Adl tweeted a while ago that the shooting for his new series "Seedna El Sayyid – The Master" was stopped by a group of salafists. He said that on Thursday early morning, the cast and crew were shooting a funeral scene in a village in Al Ayyat. The producers were approached by the village mayor who requested them to stop shooting according to a request of a group of Salafists from his village who said that filming a series is forbidden in Islam. Therefore, the producers, Ald Adl Group, had to stop shooting."Seedna El Sayyid" stars Syrian actor Jamal Suleiman, Ahmed El Feshawy, Sami El Adl, Maysara, Hady El Gayar and Horeya Farghali and is written by Yasser Abdel Rahman and directed by Islam Khairy in his second TV directorial experience after "El Kebeer".
