Faisal Al Atrash denies that Majd Al Qassem is portraying Farid Al Atrash.

Faisal Al Atrash, the late musician and artist Farid Al Atrash's nephew, denied in his statement to all rumors that spread in the past few years that Syrian singer Majd Al Qassem will be portraying Farid in the series about his life. Faisal also added that the delay behind producing the series is the concern from Farid Al Atrash's relatives and family members about every single detail in the story to avoid any mistakes and misleading information which took place in "Asmahan" series.He said that the script is written and they are currently searching for the cast to portray all the real life characters in the series especially the "Eman" who was very close to Farid and they have difficulty in finding an actress to play her role.
