The 15th Ismailia International Festival for Documentaries and Short Films launched yesterday.

The Minister of Culture Mohamed Saber Al Arabi and Ismailia Governor opened yesterday the 15th Ismailia International Festival for Documentaries and Short Films with the festival president Director Magdi Ahmed Ali and festival manager Dr. Amir Al Omari.A large number of celebrities and actors attended including Amr Waked with festival hosts Khaled Aboul Naga and Magda Al Qadi.During the opening ceremony, the late actor Salah Marei was honored for his long acting career and his wife Mrs Rahma Montasser accepted the Festival's Oscar along with Documentary Cinematic Association trophy. The opening speech was by the Ministry of Culture, director Magdi and Dr. Al Omari where they thanked all presidents of the past editions of the festivals who has contributed so much in the success of this festival starting with Hashem El Nahhas, Karam Mutawei to critic Ali Abu Shady and Salah Marei. Diretor Magdi introduced the Jury that includes Ibrahim Al Batout and then invited the audience to attend the premiere of "Al Tareeq ela Allah" by the late director Shadi Abdel Salam.
