Tim Roth to portray 18th Century Dr. John Hunter

British actor Tim Roth has signed to star in David Cronenberg's new medical drama series "Knifeman" which is adapted Wendy Moore's biography about an 18th century John Hunter- a self-educated surgeon who had untraditional methods to uncover the secrets of the human being. Script is written by Rolin Jones and Ron Fitzgerald and will be released soon and director Cronenberg is to co-produce as well.The 65th Cannes International Film Festival witnessed the participation of both Roth and Cronenberg where the first was head of Jury of the "Un Certain Regard" and the second's film "Cosmopolis" competed in the Competition.
