Marvel appoints Joss Whedon for "The Avengers 2"

After the huge success of writing and directing the first part; Marvel Studios appointed director Joss Whedon to write and direct the sequel of "The Avengers"."The Avengers" which scored the third highest gross film in the history of American cinema with 1.439 billion dollars; made it reasonable for the producers to aim for the same success through Whedon again.Marvel has an extravagant plan of superhero films coming ahead with "Iron Man 3" and "Thor: The Dark World" in 2013, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" in 2014 and "The Avengers 2" in 2015.
