"The Bourne Legacy" knocks off "The Dark Knight" from the top of the box-office.

Even though it's a new comer; but it managed to knock off "The Dark Knight rises" from the top of the box-office; "The Bourne Legacy" made 40.2 million dollars in its week premier with lead actor Jeremy Renner and director Tony Gilroy. The film is produced by Universal Pictures and on a budget of 125 million dollars. Coming in second place is Warner Bros.' comedy by Will Farrell and Zach Galifianakis entitled "The Campaign" with 27.4 million dollars since it was released last Friday.Falling into third place is the last of the Batman's trilogy "The Dark Knight Rises" after staying on top of the box office for three weeks adding to its gross 19.5 million dollars to make it a total of 390 million.Another new comer landing in fourth place this week with 15.6 million dollars is "Hope Springs" starring Meryl Streep, Tommy Lee Jones and directed by David Frankel.Climbing down from third place to fifth is "Diary of a Wimpy Kid :Dog Days" with 8.2 million and in going down from second to sixth is the action film "Total Recall" adding 8.1 million to make a gross of 44.1 million which is considered a very small revenue for a film that was made on a budget of 125 million.The animation "Ice Age" Continental Drift" lands in seventh place with 6.7 million to make its total gross 144 million in the States and 623.6 million worldwide making it the third highest gross worldwide for an animation. "Ted" is still hanging in the top ten in number eight after seven weeks of its release with 3.2 million this week to make its total gross 209.9 million which considered very high for a film of a budget of 50 million."Step Up Revolution" comes in at ninth with 2.8 million and "The Watch" in tenth marking the greatest fall since it was in fifth place last week and adding 2.2 million to its gross making it a total of 31.3 million.
