Hossam El Gohary was aware of Hanan Turk's retirement decision a while back.

Director Hossam El Gohary spoke about his recent Ramadan series "El Okht Therese" and said he is very happy with its success. He said he is proud to work with lead actress Hanan Turk who was preparing for this drama for four years now until they finally presented in a way acceptable to all cast and crew. When asked about Hanan's decision to retire from acting; he said he was aware of this decision a while ago and he discussed it a lot with her, but he believes it's her decision that she defended strongly and he is happy for her and happy that he directed her last work since it is a huge success and worth remembering.El Gohary is now prepping for his new film "Goshen 1515" which is still being written. He said that actress Hana Sheeha is definitely in the cast but no one else is chosen yet. The casting should start once the film is written where they will start prepping for shooting immediately. He added that there is another film in the making but didn't reveal any details about it.
