"The Citizen" is considered the first international lead role for Egyptian actor Khaled El Nabawy and will be released on 7 September at the Lincoln Center.Filmmakers released the official trailer for the film that revolves around an Arab citizen who arrives to the USA one day before September 11 explosions. "The Citizen" is written by Samir Younis, Sam Kadi and Jazmen Brown and has a perspective of Arab citizens from an American point of view different from the regular one after those explosions. The film is also participating in the Toronto International Film Festival which is taking place between 10 and 16 September and in the Heartland Film Festival which is taking place between 10 and 27 October."The Citizen" is directed by Sam Kadi and stars Willam Atherton, Agnes Bruckner, Cary Elwes and Rizwan Manji.
