With Pictures: Stars of Egypt and the Arabic world celebrate MBC Masr.

On Tuesday 19 October, MBC channels celebrated the launch of MBC Masr in a grand ceremony at Salah El Din Castle in Cairo.A large number of stars from art, media, culture and politics in Egypt attended with MBC's Marketing and Investments manager Mr. Mazen Hayek with the famous journalist Dr. Ali Gaber. The official date to launch the channels is 9 November.The ceremony started at 9pm with a speech by Hayek where he spoke about the vision of MBC and the mission behind MBC Masr. He said that channel has no political intentions but is targeted to fill the large Egyptian market with rich entertaining, cultural and informative material that will enrich the Egyptian and Arabic media.Egyptian TV host Mona El Shazlee spoke about her new talk show which will focus on important and effective issues. Afterwards, the celebration started with a song for "Om Kahltoum", then Arab Idol's winner Karmen Suleiman sang "Toba" which was followed by fireworks show and it ended by songs from Arab's superstar Ragheb Alama.Among the guests was Wahid Hamed, Mohamed Foad, Amr Saad, Rania Youssef, Fifi Abdoh, Dalia El Behairy and her husband, Essam Karika, Nabila Ebaid, Hady El Gayyar, Lebliba, Lobna Assal, Ashraf Abdel Baqi, Mostafa Fahmi, Rania Farid Shawki, fashion designer Hany El Behairy and wife, Bassem Yakhour and wife, Rana El Hariry, Mohamed Fadel and his wife actress Ferdous Abdel Hamid, Maged El Masry, Osama Mounir and Laila Elwy.
