Hugh Jackman: My mother abandoned me when I was just 8.

In his interview with Australian Women's Weekly; actor Hugh Jackman shared his sad memories about his mother who abandoned him and his four siblings – two sisters and two brothers- when he was only 8.Jackman said it took him until he was 12 or 13 to realize that she is not coming back again. He remembers that she never said anything and sent a letter the next day saying she was leaving them and going back to the UK. Jackman said he can't forget how people looked at them during that time."The thing I never felt - and I know this might sound strange - I never felt that my mum didn't love me," he added. Jackman said he spoke with his mother and understood the reasons behind her painful decision as she was hospitalized after giving birth to him suffering from post-natal depression and didn't find proper treatment and support in Sydney.Jackman is married to actress Deborah Lee since 1996 and has two children with her, Oscar 12 and Ava 7.
