Christian Bale in talks for Wally Pfister's "Transcendence".

In his first directorial experience; cinematographer of the Dark Knight trilogy Wally Pfister has Johnny Depp on board taking on one of the three main characters and in talks with Christian Bale for the second role.If this negotiation goes on well; it will mark the fourth time where Pfister and Nolan work together. Filmmakers are discreet about the story line and other details until the whole cast is complete and according to The Los Angeles Times shooting should start by next winter. Bale is currently busy shooting his role in Terrence Malick's upcoming film with Michael Fassbinder, Ryan Gosling, Natalie Portman and Roony Mara.
