Ben Affleck’s hostage thriller “Argo” will have its Middle East premiere during the Doha Tribeca Film Festival, which runs from November 17-24. The film, Affleck’s third as director, enjoyed a very warm reception at its Toronto Film Festival premiere last month. “Argo,” delves into the tumultuous events of the Iran hostage crisis of 1979, and a complex ruse created by a CIA undercover agent, played by Affleck, to save a number of American diplomats. After just three weeks playing in American cinemas, the film’s earnings have exceeded $60 million, and are soon to reach $100 million.
