Spanish actor Javier Bardem welcomed a huge Hollywood milestone—his own Hollywood star—alongside his “Skyfall” cast mates last Thursday. Naomi Harris, Berenice Marlohe, and director Sam Mendes were right by his side as he basked in this hard-won honor. He is the 2,484th actor to be awarded a star on the famous strip. Bardem took care to be photographed with all of his “Skyfall” co-stars and director, but strangely was not accompanied by wife and famous actress Penelope Cruz, who has been in Rome promoting her new film “Twice Born." Bardem played his character, Raoul Silva, brilliantly, bringing to life all of the cunning and perversity of Agent 007’s nemesis in this latest Bond flick. His performance is generating Oscar buzz, and rightfully so. Bardem previously won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his equally haunting performance in “No Country For Old Men.”
