Paramount Announces Fifth 'Paranormal Activity' for 2013

Paramount Pictures has revealed it intends to make a fifth film in the Paranormal Activity franchise! The latest installment, "Paranormal Activity 4," came out in theaters on October 19th and has grossed a total of $135 million worldwide.

Paramount said that after the huge success of the last film in the famous horror series, they decided to produce a fifth film, which will come out during Halloween of 2013.

Besides the film's release date -- October 25, 2013 -- Paramount has been tight-lipped about any other details, i.e. its storyline, starring actors, and whether it will be helmed by the same directors.

"Paranormal Activity 4" is still in theaters, and stars Katie Featherston, Matt Shively, Brady Allen, and Kathryn Newton. It was directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman.
