Mahmoud Abdel Aziz to Receive Life Achievement Award at Dubai Film Fest

The Dubai International Film Festival has announced in a press conference yesterday that the festival would be honoring actor Mahmoud Abdel Aziz with a Life Achievement Award this year for his cinematic work which has enriched the Egyptian film industry. The festival is also presenting this award to the innovative British director Michael Apted for his significant contributions to the world of cinema that have been a source of inspiration for many.

Meanwhile, a number of Egyptian stars and filmmakers have been invited to attend the ninth annual festival, including Amr Waked, Layla Alwi, Nilley, Khaled El Nabawy, Ezzat Abo Auf, Salah El Saadani, Hassan Hosny, Ghassan Massoud, Hany Ramzy, Mohamed Saad, Ahmad Rateb, Ghada Adel, Ragaa El Gedawi, Shereen Adel, Maxim Khalil, Ameer Karara, Cyrine Abd Elnour, Yosra El Lawzy, Nermen El Fiqi, Caroline Khalil and Magdy Hawary.

The Dubai festival will run from December 9 - 16.
